About

How did the people of the south come to know him is another story.

Once Swami Gnananandagiri of Thapovanam told the devotees gathered at his Ashram that there is a jewel in Kanyakumari and taking this lead, late ARPN Rajamanickam went to Kanyakumari and searched for the jewel Swamiji referred to. Hearing about Mayamma Devi, an incarnation of Divine Mother,

Late Rajamanickam inferred that Swami Gnananandagiri was referring to this person as the jewel of Kanyakumari. He became a staunch devotee of Mayamma. One day when Rajamanickam went to Kanyakumari to have darshan of Mayamma Devi, she asked him to take the car and they drove to Vaikundapathi temple. There they saw Nainar Swami. This was in the month of September 1976. The two exchanged glances but did not converse. A silent communion perhaps. Nainar Swamigal appeared as bright as thousand Suns and Rajamanickam was blessed with this viswa rupa darshan.

After ARPN Rajamanickam saw the Swamiji for the first time along with Mayamma, he served the Swamiji with pleasure and devotion and fulfilled the needs of Nainar Swamiji. Slowly words spread around and many devotees came to seek the blessings of Nainar Swamigal.

Once Mata Amritanandamayi came from Kerala to see Nainar Swamigal, and on seeing Amma, Nainar Swamigal called her 'Bhadra Kaali'. Today Mata Amritanandamayi is hailed as a mother by everybody and worshipped all over the world. Her name and fame have spread far and wide.

YogiRamasuratkumar has told that ‘Sri Nainar Swami and I are one’.All the great jnanis are one and there is no difference between them. Only ignorant people make comparisons. True to what Yogiji has said, Sri Nainar Swamigal attained Mahasamadhi on the 1st of December, 1981, coinciding with the birthday of Yogiji.

After Sri Nainar Swamigal attained maha Samadhi, Rajamanikam constructed a Samadhi as per the Vedic procedure with the usual rituals. A pair of the Swamiji’s sandals are kept on top of the Samadhi and consecrated.

The usual mandala poojas were done for 41 days.

ARPN Rajamanickam did not stop there. He constructed a mandir, with all amenities. He arranged for daily pujas and annual Aradhana celebrations with annadhanam as the main feature.

Since Swamiji is a divine spark of Hanumanji, he was always found immersed in RAM NAM. He was devoted to Lord Rama and Sita. No wonder, hundreds of notebooks containing the name RAM RAM written by devotees from all the parts of South India came to the temple and these were also consecrated as per Hindu Sastras. The Trustees of the Dharmashala did not ask anyone to write the name of Lord Rama and bring but these crores of RAMNAM came on their own, It seems as if Lord Rama himself came to bless his disciple.

Daily pujas to the Samadhi are done twice, and in the evening the children from the village assemble and do bhajans and nama sankirtana. After arti, prasadam is distributed to all present. Vilaku Pujas are being regularly done by ladies on all amavasya (New Moon) days.

Once a year the Swamiji’s Aradhana celebrations are being held on the 4th of December with Annadhanam as a special feature. Other important functions being celebrated are Rama Navami, Navaratri festival and 8th June –Anniversary day of Guruarutselvar ARPN Rajamanickam.

For valor, sagacity, wisdom, and bravery, lord Hanumanji is known. He will bestow all these qualities on all hose who worship him. Here is Nainar Swamigal in marunthuvazhmalai, a spark of lord hanuman and devotees can visit the Samadhi and seek his Blessing.

This Samadhi mandir can be reached by auto rickshaw from Kanyakumari. The mandir will be open in the mornings and evenings. Anyone can go there and do bhajans or chant RAM NAM.
